My iPad
Every student in Years 3 to 6 at Columba Catholic Primary School are asked to bring an iPad to school each day. This iPad needs to be charged, in a protective case and in good working order. The school will connect these devices to our school network. We will also install ALL the apps your child will need for school.
On the right, there are some key documents that all parents should read. Below is a brief outline and some general information to support parents in purchasing the right for your child.
Existing iPads
Some students may already own or use an iPad that is in good working order at home. This iPad will be okay for classroom use. For many parents this will mean that no purchase is necessary.

If the screen is cracked we strongly recommend getting it fixed. Students must ensure there is sufficient space on their iPad for school apps, as we ask that this be its primary use.

If you do not have an iPad or you wish to upgrade there are a few options available when purchasing your new device.

Any size iPad will work at school. Please consider how much storage your child will need for your own personal
material however the 64GB will be enough for school use.
Purchasing
Columba Catholic Primary Primary School has special education benefits through its preferred partner, JBHIFI which offer not only very competitive prices, but ongoing first class support. JBHIFI has a portal to make the purchase process as smooth as possible. Please click on the button below to access the portal and purchase your new iPad. Purchasing an iPad from a major retailer like the Apple store of Harvey Norman is also an option. If you purchase your iPad from a retailer, they will not support any warranty claims, but don’t worry, you can make a Genius Appointment at our local Apple Store at Westfield Fountain Gate. Everybody Needs a Case
No matter where you purchase your iPad, please ensure it has a high quality case. A fully enclosed case or a case with edges that will take a bump or accidental drop is preferred. A good case will be your best insurance policy. Cases are also available for purchase through our JBHIFI parent portal.
